COWHC Ladies 2s vs Surbiton Ladies 9s - 06th Jan 2017

2 minutes of chaos was enough to blow the Christmas cobwebs away for the ladies 2s and cause them to concede their first goal of 2018!

The Amazonian schoolgirls of Surbiton had clearly not been ’partying’ as hard as the COWs as they were on it from the start and stole an early scrappy goal before we were in the game. The horror of conceding only our 7th goal of the season spurred us into life and we battled hard to ensure the deficit did not increase. We re-organised and gradually developed attacks through the hard work of our mids and forwards but at half time our hard work had not been turned into a goal.

It was much the same in the 2nd half, COW’s defending like mad, with a few great runs into the attacking D taking the pressure off of the defence. Alas, whilst a draw would have been a fair result, this was not to be and the ladies 2s lose their first league game since September!
