COWHC Ladies' 2s vs Mid Surrey Ladies 2s - 04th February 2017

( The Best game a COWHC Team has ever played)
So as per this match report probably wont consist of any hockey. This is party due to not being able to remember 4 weeks ago.
The only reason this match report is now being written is due to being bullied and peer pressured into writing it.
(I wont mention any names) *cough cough* Nicky R, Vicky Fullerton whatever and Chris Maundrell
Anyway the day started off like any other. Cold, raining and miserable. As per I was super disorganised and didn't even have the right coloured match shirt, this is not the first time I have turned up without a shirt or even just in the wrong shirt and socks. Our match wasn't due to start till 2.30 so this gave the ladies plenty of time to gossip on whats-app. Mainly about wine, winning at hockey and cheese, We seem to be pretty predictable.
Our warm up was like any other a serious team talk about cheese and wine and chicken periods! (a story on its own) while stretching and limbering up for an epic game ahead for some reason our vegan Princess decided to all make us feel rather ill by talking about chicken menstruation, and how when we all eat eggs we were eating a chickens period.
This was immediately followed by half the team retching and gagging while lunging and squatting. (total dedication to our warm up right there)
So once we had all recovered the game started, we started off well and our team tactics clearly paid off. We had some lovely passing down the line to then be crossed to our centre mid and forwards.
we also had some switching round the back going on which left the oppo lagging behind and allowed us to smash the ball up the line to make a few breakaway shots.
This had to be the Ladies 2's best match of the season so far, with impeccable play and stunning team work from all.
Due to this we managed to perfectly execute 4 goals past their keeper.
I can't vouch for Sharon White and Howard's Goals but the first of my goals was very much due to the perfect set up from the mid-field where I was in perfect position on post to slot it into the back board of the goal. The second of my goals from what I can remember was due to the perfect breakaway where the ball was whipped passed the oppo's attack and down the line with a quick pass into the middle and up towards top D where much to my own disbelief I managed to hit the ball into the top right of the goal. ( this shall never be achived again, ever!)
We also had some amazing support from our very own Hoops, who gave us lots of encouragement. Mean while our subs and other supporters were chanting very helpful comments such as 'Run Faster' 'Play Better Hockey' 'Score more goals' this of course worked seen as we ended up wining 4-0
Some how due to our amazing team work and spirit we also managed to recruit several members of the opposition to come play for us next season.
Sorry henners the ladies 2's are better at recruiting than you are. You've been fired!
Well this concludes the match report I'm afraid as this has all been written by scrolling through thousands of whats app messages to piece together the events of the day.
But as i am away skiing I have decided to sack this off and hit the slopes!
So instead of peace, love and hockey balls as Nicky Wilson says, I shall sign off with
Peace, Love and Ski's
