COWHC Ladies' 2s vs London Wayfarers Ladies 8 - 05th November 2016

After last week's cup match we were keen to return to our winning league streak. We started well with some good pressure and nice passing. Our first goal was disallowed due to one of us kicking it in the D - minor technical detail. On a break they scored - definitely not the flow of the game. Heads up and some beautiful beautiful play (it deserved the double praise) saw Jo get the ball over the line after some determined play in their D. Our second came swiftly after - so much so Netty and Lisa missed it gossiping at the back. Again Jo slotted it in. Half time. They upped the pressure in the second half and Leggs made a valiant save on the line earning her POM. Everyone was convinced it was going in but Leggs strength on the back stick kept it out. Rest of the half was fairly even.
We played some brilliant hockey with our passing getting better and spacing improving. Appears we do listen in training even not always apparent...thanks Roachie!
