Picked up Brad and Jonny from EC, all was well. Jonny rising to my chat. No nibble 19 well and truly over...

So the game started and it was a bit all over the place. Structure was fluid to put it politely. Bodies flying everywhere, white shirts galore, Steelers probably lost his voice after 5 minutes with all the "MARK YOUR MAN." Somehow they managed to put 3 passes together and their forward (who was actually a lovely guy) slotted past Terry twice...2-0 down and thinking "what the hell is going on??"
Then we had 10 minutes of Kailash. Found by Neil with a cracking delivery, piercing their defence like a knife through hot butter and the big man was on the end of it to coolly slot it past the keeper. Composure regained a bit. Cue Jack Murphy, he wobbles around in that wonderfully twirly skill thing he does and releases Kai again who drops it into the same corner. Back to 2-2 and feeling a lot more comfortable now, opposition were looking leggy in the midfield and our engine was revving now. I decided to go for one of my wanders up the pitch and found myself with the ball, as standard Ash was screaming for the ball and as standard I ignored and slammed it towards goal. There he was again! Kai Patel stops it and with back towards goal reverses hits this thing that rifles past the keepers head, proper worldie
Half time follows and we go in to the team talk 3-2 up. Now for our younger readers I will paraphrase, but basically I told everyone how s*** we were playing and we needed to up our game. Elliot told me to calm down, played good cop and got his board and pens out and showed us what to do. He was so polite, but for the life of me I cant understand a word he says!
2nd half and we are WAYYYYY better, holding onto the ball for periods and happily playing it down the channels. Through one of these plays we get the ball to Adam Hedges, fresh from his hamstring troubles. The ball gets lifted onto his chest from Camberley but the ump played advantage, so he promptly slams it into back netting. They kick up a fuss like morons, saying the ball hit his chest...Silly boys, no man ever wins an argument with Lisa P. Up 4-2 and playing some decent hockey finally.
Not entirely sure how they won their short corner, but they had a slap from the top inside the left post...I should have been there and oddly no-one gave me any stick for that. 4-3. They had a bit of possession towards the end of the game, but led to nothing.
