Croydon and Old Whitgift Men’s 2s Bus
(13 Seater but often only 12 arrive)

• Parts included as standard: Kai, Indy, Joe, Ben, Jay, Will, Brad, Ash, Neil, Adam, Raj and Terry.

• A number of ongoing issues including time keeping (Brad) and missing parts (Rob Gorgy).

• Despite issues with reliability of the opposition turning up (bloody lazy students) , the game eventually started.

Slow starter when facing a bare 11 and subject to aerial failings following with the opposition taking an early lead 1‐0. With a number of mismatched parts this vehicle stuttered into life with some good transfers around the back moving the opposition. The opposition then succumb to the pressure and conceded a short corner. This vehicle may cause damage to other vehicles when operating, this was proven with Joe lifting the corner into the opposition breaking the defenders finger.

With the opposition down to 10, Croydon continued to drive forward, and succeed in scoring with Joe levelling the scores despite
the inability for Neil to be able to stop a pass with no opposition even in the same half (new control arms needed). Despite this our
passenger side rear wheel (Neil) provided a great threat continually pushing down their sideskirt. With some skilled work from
down the right Brad snuck with some smart finishing to get the CROWS bus back on track. With the engine revving high the bus
powered forward before half time with Joe making it 3‐1 on the stroke of half time.

On the other side of half time Croydon continued to run at high speed with our vintage part (Kai) dropping down to midfield and
show the new parts how to do it. Joe jumped into gear taking a chance following yours truly incredible inability to get his parts
working properly and mishitting a reverse (first part of a well deserved DoD) for Joe to smash home for 4‐1.

With the temperature rising the CROWS bus began to over heat with a few players shouting and blowing a little. The pressure was
put on by the opposition with the bus at times having issues with a massive hole in the middle of the chassis. Our bumper (Terry)
held up strong taking out parts of the opposition on the break. Somehow are wheels became realigned and the engine cooled with
Indy lifting home after a scramble in the D. Here the main reason for my DoD arrived with me being shown a green light following a
deliberate big foot despite my protestations, I was sent to the pits. Following this and to cap a great performance Brad again with
Antifreeze in his veins dribbles in to the D and slots it past the keeper with a controlled finish.

On to the next stop the CROWS bus rolls. Top performing part of the day went to Raj with some great steering from the back.

EVERYONE ON THE CROYDON AND OLD WHITGIFT HOCKEY BUS!!!
