We won 5 - 2 Report by Joe

With Terry back where he belongs this week I’m actually going to have to write my own match report!

The day starts by meeting Roche in the café for breakfast, well one breakfast for me and 3 for him…. With a quick detour via east Croydon we were on the runway and ready for take off

We had the return of Kai and myself, debuts for Paul and Jaideep and the return of the myth Chris with the squad we had out we knew that Reigate didn’t stand a chance.

We pushed back and settled into the game very quickly and it wasn’t long until I did one of the many things that have given me the pleasure of writing this report, with Ollie playing another over hit pass it was up to me to chase after it, forgetting that I’m still injured I slid to keep it in and ended up sliding in the backboard of an extra goal.

But anyway this isn’t about me this is about us. It wasn’t long until we had our first goal of the game when someone passed it to me and then with the deftest of touches I sent the ball over the keeper and into the goal oh no way the ninja that is Kai has decided to steal it. 1-0 Crows

5 mins later they decided to give us short corner, when it comes to short corners there is only one man for the job, Jay injects, I shoot and before the keeper can even move its hit the backboard! 2-0 Crows

The game progressed a bit more and they then got a 1 on 1 with Rochie and I think you know where this is going, he came out like a fridge and sent the attacker so high he could see his house.

Just before half time they managed to score I can’t really remember what happened but it was most probably Neil’s fault

Half time 2-1

The second half started the same as the first, it was soon 3 when the ninja got the slightest of touches on a crash into the D from Chris. 3-1 Crows

The fourth came pretty soon after with Jay unhappy that he hadn’t scored so far and knowing that he was now joint top goal scorer he had to do something about it, he got himself into the D shot but it was going so far wide that Griff decided that the touch was needed 4-1 Crows

It should’ve been 5-1 not long after but with Jaideep running into the D and starting to power up his shot I knew there was one thing to do get inside the post and let it hit me so that he couldn’t have the debut goal he deserved. Another reason why I am writing this match report

We didn’t have to wait long until we did get our 5th, with Reigate pressing to try and get themselves a lifeline back into the game they left us with a loads of space, there were another room for 3 runways all we need was the good duty free. The ball gets to Jay inside the D and wait for it ….. he passed, yes you heard that right Jay Patel #JP17 passed when he was inside the D, and in a state of shock I didn’t really know what to do I pulled back and then sliced it into the corner. 5-1 Crows

They scored again with Tomo a bit bored from not really touching the ball he was a tad flat footed and then with Rochie having to do Tomos job he slid out and missed the ball letting them have a goal( not sure why he isn’t writing this) 5-2 Crows

Game over we won

Jay finally passed
I’ve scored more than Jay
Raj put his toys back in his pram
I say we are top of the league
5 points clear
