We lost 4 - 3 Report by Ben

A day of poor decisions.

The fours made many an error this week. The biggest two being asking me to describe how the day unfolded and forgetting to bring Scott's muzzle.

Thanks must go to Mumma Killer who kindly allowed young Killian to use her wagon.

Skipper inspired his troops and we entered the game in good spirits.

The game is a haze. Brad our new superstar did a goal, a bit after the other team did one. Jim "how may I assist you" Beard put his wandering hands to good use and played Brad in with a ball that can only be described as really good - that play cementing his place in the new and improved Tripod.

The other team did a few more goals but that's boring as, so let's move on. Keeper had a good game despite conceding 4, one of which was a penalty. What it was given for, I'm not sure, and tbh the rules of hockey confuse me.

Going forward we were good, Brad scoring a very nice short. Proving that the art of goal scoring is probably best left to those with talent.

There was an own goal for them caused by some silky dribbling from Scotty. Then came the moment. The ball was played out to a winger with electric pace and perfect hair. After doing some fast running, Skip and I were two on one with the keeper. Simply put I f***** it up large. Naturally the DoD was subsequently awarded post-game. Sorry chaps.

I would love to tell you how well the defence played, and I'm sure they did, but I rarely go into my own half and have no interest in such dirty things. But I'm told Max, James, Chris et al played well. Max must be commended on the quality of his short corner pushing.

In mid field Josh, Nelly and Jim lad helped out the defence well and were generally solid. Nelly nearly scored from a short after more magic from Brad.

Finally, Scotty thought he'd nabbed us a point, but unfortunately he failed to follow the rules of the game in doing so.

Chris bought beers post game. That was nice.

MoM: Josh
DoD: Ben "can't play hockey for s***" Brazier
Final score: 4-3 to them (4-4 if you ask Scotty)
