COWHC Men's 4s vs Leatherhead Men's 3s - 03rd December

This was a one man show of epic proportions.

Luck gifted the oppo pushback but from right back, Mike rushed out and intercepted the ball. With surprising ease, the adventurous Mike did their midfield, worked his way into their D and smashed it into the top corner.

The 4s simply stood and applauded. 1 nil to us.

The team were playing well but lacked the decisiveness to carve open the oppo. One man had to step up, and one did. Once again, Mike decided to take control and carve leatherhead up like a Xmas turkey. A 100m run ended in a low effort flying past their stranded keeper. 2 nil.

The boys sensed something special was happening here, Mike the Man was becoming Mike 'the main man' Man. A beautiful assist for Adam left Mike an easy tap in. He even had the audacity to back stick it but the umpire was so awestruck that he clapped and blew for the goal. 3 nil

This is where things got silly, lovely play from the team left Mike 'The Main man' Man in acres of space on the edge of the D. He then precedes to deliberately ping against the bar only to then volley in the rebound. 4 nil.

5 nil came with a few minutes to go... Maradona and his hand of God can go read the bible on cliff... a clever ariel lifted the ball(safely) into the D where Mike was waiting to again volley it in... with his foot. Again the umpire was so awestruck he simply clapped and blew for the goal. 5 nil and done.

MoM... Their Keeper... if it weren't for him... it would have been a cricket score.

DoD... Cairan gets his obligatory award but it has to be shared with Scotty for playing for the enemy... oops I mean the 3's.
