COWHC Men's 3s vs Purley Walcountians Men's 5s

A great win yesterday, 5-1 against PWs who had been top of the league.

It was a fairly even game in the first half, but we took our chances and went 2-0 up with PWs scoring from a short near half time.
PWs came out all guns firing for the second half but our defence was well marshalled by Hutch and Phil in goal stopped anything that got through.
Then we broke away to score again and it knocked the stuffing out of PW.
The midfield of Steelers, JP, Hamjam and Dav seemed to have velcro on their sticks as they stopped every ball that came near them.
Up front, the two Bens caused havoc with their tireless running and we knocked in 2 more goals before the end.
POM was Steelers, who controlled the midfield and scored a hat trick.
Ben E got the other two goals.
And thanks to Jenks for stepping in to umpire so that we could field a full team.
All in all, a superb performance.
