Snow thwarted all games from being played but here's a little update on league positions and the effort put in to play our games despite the snow...

Unfortunately a flurry of snow at just the wrong time of week and day meant that yet another weekend had cancelled fixtures. Not a single planned fixture went ahead.

But it wasn't for the lack of trying, see JP here trying to clear Croydon High School of snow so the Men's 4s could get a game - JP's snow shoveling skills.

The Men's 3s made it to their pitch but despite clearing a couple of lines with a snow shovel they were recovered in snow in the space of 10 minutes!

.
The Men's 4s eventually played some sort of friendly ice hockey match followed by a snowball fight!

.
But eventually there was only really one answer for all, and that was to head to the bar...

.
So where does that leave us all in the leagues?

Ladies 1s - Just one match played in our division yesterday. We're currently 9th out of 10 with 7 games to play. We have games in hand over the all our closest rivals, just two points adrift of 5th place, so we hope for a couple of timely wins. See league here.

Ladies 2s - The only team in our club and in the division to get a result because Wimbledon conceded mid-week, they must be cursing that decision! We're currently 3rd of 10 with 5 games to play. We have played a couple more games than others but have enjoyed a recent run of good form that we'll look to continue. See league here.

Men's 1s - Only two games not played in our division yesterday, 3rd placed Sunbury jumped to 2nd due to London Eds games, like ours, postponed. We're still top of the league of 12 teams with 8 games left to play, equal points with Sunbury but a game in hand and a point ahead of London Eds in third but with far superior goal difference. It will be any exciting end to the season to see if we can secure back to back promotions. See league here.

Men's 2s - Just one game went ahead in our league yesterday. Currently 5th of 10 with 8 games to play. Completely in our hands to win games in hand over a couple of teams and push for the top couple places come end of the year. See league here.

Men's 3s - 3 games got played in our league yesterday, one of which was a helpful draw between 2nd and 3rd. So we remain top of the league of 11 with 7 games to play. We're equal on points with Sunbury in 2nd but now with a game in hand and a considerably better goal difference. It's in our hands to continue good performances and seal back to back promotions but it's certainly not done yet. See league here.

Men's 4s - No games at all in our league got played. We're top of the league of 10 teams with 7 games left to play. Clear by 2 points with a game in hand over 2nd place, also with a superior goal difference. Need to keep up the good form and hopefully the promotion that could of been earned last year will be ours. See league here.
