COWHC Ladies 2s vs Berrylands Ladies 1s - 17th Nov 2018

A lovely bright sunny morning, perfect for a game of hockey. Meet time was 9:45am, a bit early but at least it was a home game. Nicky wanted us all in the cage on time, last person there writes the match report, but rugby at Trinity messed up the plan! As there was nowhere to park! So there you have it, I was the last to the cage so here is the match report.

We arrived at the pitch, eventually, all ready to play. The game started well. We soon found out that Berrylands umpire only knew how to point in one direction! And it wasn't in our favour. We finished the first half 0-0. The second half started just as well as the first, we won a few short corners, Netty going up to strike the ball at the Berrylands goal. One of our short corners resulted in a goal. Netty's strike ricocheted between the keepers pads and came back out to Netty, this time it went through the keepers legs. Then there was a squeal! It was Leggs, she connected with the ball and scored! We weren't off the hook yet, Berrylands were still trying to get through. But they couldn't score.

Final score 1-0 to us.

Did I mention we won!
