We drew 2 - 2

Alright. So it was my first game for the mighty CROWS 2nds yesterday, after moving to London last week. So being the great bunch of guys they are, I got stitched up by them and was made thee honorary dick of the day. Controversially I may add, as apparently me being late was a worse offence than Indy going out late the night before searching for a missus.
Anyway. So we got to Surbiton full of hopes and dreams, searching for the majestic 3 points we needed to elevate us to greatness and continue our unbeaten season. The lads started great, easily out playing the opponent for the 10. our dominance was rewarded when Indy/raj/pard (Still having trouble telling who is who, sorry guys
Unfortunately our good work became unstuck when Surbiton were awarded a stroke not long after. I genuinely can't remember what it was for, however I am sure we were innocent and didn't deserve it. their stroke was a missle into the top corner but I could have sworn a diving Terry almost got a finger to it. Some good play followed however we went into the half time break locked at 1 all.
The second half started pretty shitty to be fair as they scored easily within 10 minutes to put us down 1-2. The lads didn't drop their heads however and keep up the hustle in search of a equaliser. After Jay changed the formation to 3 up front, the equaliser came with 5 minutes to go through a lethal flick at the penalty corner from our very own Sir Bashford. Speed, power, precision, the flick had it all and the crowd of 3 people watching could barely contain themselves.
Although we tried valiantly to get a winner, the epic duel ended at 2 all. We had chances throughout the game to win, however a 2 all draw was probably a fair result and we will take the 1 point back to the clubhouse. Man of the match was Will, who was dynamic all game and thoroughly deserved the award, whilst Bash and Hugo also were honorary mentions for some great play. Surbiton provided a great feed afterwards, so the team departed happy as Larry.
Cheers for Jay stepping up in Cocksys place as captain/coach/manager/selector for the game. All in all,a great day of hockey with some okay blokes and we will be back next week for the 3 points
