COWHC to the rescue!

It was looking unlikely that these competitions would be going ahead this year, that was until COWHC came to the rescue in the form of Ladies 2's Captain Nicky Robinson. Nicky has very kindly offered to organise this years Surrey Ladies Lower Divisions Cup & Plate competitions.

Below are details of this season’s Surrey Ladies Cup/Plate competition so if you are interested in entering a team then please let Nicky Robinson know asap. Please provide the name, email address and mobile number of the captain or team manager with your application for entry. The competition is free to enter and is open to the first 16 teams to respond.

The Surrey Cup/Plate will be run under the Surrey HA Rules. Only Players who play regularly in Surrey Div 6 and below are eligible. Slip date eligibility rules apply. A Surrey League Match report form has to be sent in as per league games - as soon after the game as possible - there will be no fines but the forms should be filled in as per league matches but with CUP or PLATE in the heading. Please note rescheduled league games should take priority over cup/plate games.

All matches must have a result on the day - no replays, so before the match teams need to come to an agreement on Shuffles or Flicks.

The first team named in the draw will be the home team, who will provide pitch and teas etc. Each team shall provide an umpire.

The schedule:
First round to be played by the end of Oct (winners go through to the Cup and the losers to the Plate)
2nd round to be played by end of Dec
Semis to be played by end of Feb
Finals will be in April, at the same neutral ground with appointed umpires.

All results need to be emailed to Nicky Robinson the evening of the completed match and the draw for the following round will be made as soon as all the results are in. This will go on the Surrey Website and will also be e-mailed to those involved.

Any questions please contact Nicky.
